Our History
Growing up in Wakefield, MA and Rockville Centre, NY, respectively, cousins Michael and JT have fond lifelong memories of their summers spent on the East End of Long Island.
Many of those days were spent working at their family boatyard on Shelter Island with hopes of one day making the East End their permanent home.
For several years, they have owned and operated a successful charter boat company, Charters in The Hamptons, as well as Shelter Island Taxi. With both boat and taxi clients repeatedly asking Mike and JT to keep an eye on their homes when they were out of town, the Neversweat Property Management business grew as a natural extension of already existing endeavors.
Mike Guanci
Mike made the East End his permanent home after growing up in Wakefield, Massachusetts. He is primarily responsible for initial consultations, weekly inspections, and event planning. Mike holds a USCG 25 Ton Masters Captains License and is a certified Pesticide Operator. He graduated from Trinity College with a degree in economics and played baseball. Now residing on the North Fork, Mike is involved with many local organizations such as Southold Fire Department and the North Fork Animal Welfare League.
JT McCarthy
JT has made a full-time move to the East End. With combined expertise from Fairfield Business School, along with knowledge earned from working in his family business, JT 's focus is on building the Neversweat Property Management brand. As co-founder of Neversweat PM, JT is able to utilize his talents in your home. You will often find him on a ladder, hammer in hand, working on your home repair project. JT values his time spent as a volunteer in the Southold Fire Department. In his free time, weather permitting, you will find JT out on the water where he can utilize his captain's license as often as possible. He values time spent with his girlfriend traveling and spending time with family and friends.
